Brooke and Dan’s relationship began in a unique way. Brooke says “It was almost embarrassing at first, but it all worked out in the end!” Brooke’s mother met Dan at work and once she introduced him to her daughter the rest was history!
Dan proposed to Brooke using a picture collage book he made. Each page resembled a unique life event such as, “Our Kids Will Be Awesome”, which featured baby pictures of them both.
The second to last page said, “Most importantly, you’re my best friend,” and then the last page said, “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” as Dan got down on one knee. Brooke and Dan got married shortly after on Dan’s parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, July 23rd. The same day would have also been Brooke’s grandparents’ 67th wedding anniversary if her grandfather were still alive.
Besides the heat, Brooke can’t recall a dull moment the entire day. Spending the day with their loved ones is something Brooke and Dan will cherish forever. Brooke and Dan believe the best part about their marriage is not only being themselves around one another, but also coming home to their best friend every day.
Brooke and Dan used the classic old town trolley for their wedding and attached a hand painted sign to the back that read “better together”. We love when bride and grooms add their own touch and it sure made for great pictures! Congratulations to Dan & Brooke!!
