Kassidy and Shane were just two college students attending their Greek Life committee meeting when they sparked an interest in one another. Kassidy says, “We were both too nervous to talk to each other at the meetings, which is funny to us now!”
However, Shane eventually built up the courage to talk to Kassidy and the rest was history! Shane proposed on the beach in St. Pete Beach, Florida. People nearby even caught the moment on camera.
Kassidy and Shane share many similarities, but when it comes to household work, the two divide their tasks in a modern way. Kassidy says, “Shane is the house wife in our home and I’m considered the handyman.” Shane does all of the cooking and cleaning and Kassidy has installed light fixtures and even repaired the water heater!
The best memory from Kassidy’s big day was seeing Shane tear up as she walked down the aisle. “We didn’t do a first look, so this moment was sweet and heartfelt, says Kassidy. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.”
Kassidy and Shane feel that their marriage is great due to the fun they have when they’re together. They are constantly laughing about something. “Shane is my favorite person in the entire world, and I am lucky to spend every day with him,” says Kassidy.
Kassidy and Shane used the VIP Limo Bus on their big day. Kassidy recalls one of her favorite memories as looking down at the ground and seeing the bus rocking back and forth because their bridal party was having such a good time! They all agreed that the time spent on the bus was fun and got them all pumped up for the reception which took place at the Stern Center.
The two went to Riviera Maya for their honeymoon and highly recommend it! On the way down to Mexico, the couple made a pit stop in Florida for their friends’ beach wedding. “The plane ride the next day was a little rough, but totally worth it!” says Kassidy.
Kassidy’s advice for future brides is to make your new married life the most fun experience you’ve ever had! She suggests taking your spouse on adventures, laugh together every day and don’t take anything too seriously.
